27th October 2012, i went to Dwi Warna waterfall which is located in Sibolangit, North Sumatra.
They said it was called Dwi Warna because the waterfall has 2 colours, Dwi or Dua in Indonesia means two. I went with half of my schoolmates, 25 people if i'm not mistaken. It was really nice, it took like 1 hour from Medan to Sibolangit if i'm not mistaken again. Yeah, i kind of had car sick on the way to Sibolangit, so we stopped at Sehati restaurant and i drank a cup of hot tea and vomit a little bit. We bought take-away foods there, you know for us to eat in the Jungle and so we continue our trip. Finally we arrived, we kind of gathered and prayed before we start our jungle-trek journey. AND our journey began. I was so happy really, it wasn't my first jungle trek but you know this time i went with my best friends so it really made me excited. We crossed the creek, climbed rocks, stepped on rocks, climbed to the top by ropes and et cetera. The track was kind of slippery and i have to admit it, it was exhausting. But i don't really feel exhausted because maybe i talked too much. We spent so much time climbing to the top, i think we stopped to often. It was half way to the top, and suddenly one of my friends, Danny had to climbed down because he could't make it anymore. He was exhausted and had cramps and the worst part, he wore sandals. It was really... i mean i believe he could make it, so we lost our 3 friends, Meissy and Felix joined Danny to climbed down. I feel kind of sad but we continue our journey. Finally finally finally, we reached the waterfall! I was like "WOAH!", i didn't woah because of the waterfall but that feeling... when i reached the top... i was so happy, i can't even describe my feelings. I was relieved, excited, happy, i just can't describe it. It was so freaking cold! The waterfall, it's beautiful, really but i think it's too small for a waterfall, it does have 2 colours, white and blue. It's just beautiful and well, the air was really fresh here.
It looks like a pond, isn't it? Here's some pic of us
See, we were freezing! We spent like 20 minutes on the waterfall, some of my friends did get into the water but i didn't, it was so cold already i couldn't stand it. On the way back, suddenly it started to rain. At first, it was just a drizzle but it gets heavier and heavier. It was raining heavily and the track became twice slippery and full of mud. I covered my head with my friend's towel but it was not helping. I was drenched. Oh yeah, i took my bag with me which had spare clothes, water bottle and phones inside. We shouldn't took our bags... somehow, Kahfi had this bag which is waterproof so we gave all of our phones to Kahfi. Suddenly, Kahfi had cramps all over his feet and really, it was terrifying. He screamed so loud when the guide put on some Counterpain on his feet, i was sitting in front of him and really i was frightened. His body was shaking and... really let's don't talk about this. Before we finally get out of the jungle, we had to cross the creek and we were holding hands so that we don't fall into the water. It was so fun. Finally, after 8 hours in the jungle we finally end our jungle-trek. We didn't take a bath, we just changed our clothes. I had no spare clothes, all of them were soaking wet so i wore Kahfi's hoodie as my top. We decided to eat at Garuda before we get home, i got into the car with my pants soaking wet. At Garuda, luckily i saw a shop which sells clothes across the street so i decided to go there and Danny accompanied me to cross the street and we bought like 5 surfing pants. It was so funny, mine was pink. At the end, i got home at 11 if i'm not mistaken. It was really a fun, tiring, dazzling & an unforgettable day. Ta-daaaaaaa!
